We are looking for someone who can identify issues, understand their financial impact, perform root cause analysis, and drive resolution.
What you will be doing:
Reconciliation & Balance Integrity
Own daily and periodic reconciliations across payment providers and internal systems.
Investigate reconciliation breaks, balance discrepancies, and settlement exceptions to ensure timely resolution.
Validate balances, settlements, and funding positions to maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve reconciliation issues and escalate material risks when necessary.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
Analyze transaction and financial data to identify trends, anomalies, control weaknesses, and operational risks.
Generate insights and recommendations to improve financial performance, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
Support month-end and period-end balance substantiation, reporting, and financial investigations.
Partner with Finance Management on ad hoc analysis and strategic initiatives.
Controls & Continuous Improvement
Own assigned financial controls and ensure compliance with established control frameworks.
Identify control gaps, process inefficiencies, and automation opportunities, and drive improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate documentation of reconciliation methodologies, control procedures, and issue resolutions.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
4+ years of experience in finance operations, accounting, reconciliation, or financial control, preferably in a high-volume transaction environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and assess financial impact.
Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and complex formulas.
High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Proactive, self-motivated, and able to take ownership of tasks and deliver results independently.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new processes, systems, and technologies.
Comfortable using AI tools to improve analysis, investigations, documentation, and operational efficiency.
