We are looking for an IT Manager to manage the technology function in the Philippines and support the continued growth of our fintech operations.
This is a management-focused role for someone who can lead a team, coordinate technology projects, manage priorities, and work effectively with technical and business stakeholders. You should have a strong understanding of IT and software development and be comfortable reviewing technical matters and making practical recommendations.
You will work closely with management, business stakeholders, and our global teams and counterparts to ensure technology initiatives and IT operations support the needs of the business.
What you will be doing:
IT Management & Team Leadership
Lead the technology team in developing and enhancing product capabilities, features, and digital experiences.
Oversee the technical development of product enhancements, integrations, and system capabilities that directly support the product.
Work closely with product and development teams to translate business and customer needs into practical technology solutions.
Drive the adoption of technologies that improve product functionality, automation, scalability, and user experience.
Project & Stakeholder Management
Manage and coordinate technology projects involving multiple teams, ensuring priorities, timelines, risks, and dependencies are effectively managed.
Work with business stakeholders and LATAM counterparts to translate business requirements into practical technology solutions and support regional initiatives.
Provide management with clear updates and recommendations on technology projects, issues, and opportunities.
Technology, Development & Innovation
Maintain a strong understanding of the organization's technology environment, including applications, APIs, integrations, databases, and development workflows.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, automation, security, and reliability across the technology environment.
Support the practical adoption of AI and emerging technologies across the business and IT function, including AI-assisted development and productivity tools such as Claude Code.
Stay current with technologies relevant to fintech and payments, including payment systems, APIs, third-party integrations, cloud platforms, and modern development tools.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in IT or technology, including team management and hands-on experience or meaningful exposure to software development or application technology.
Experience managing technology projects and working across multiple stakeholders.
Strong practical understanding of software development, including applications, APIs, integrations, databases, and the software development lifecycle.
Experience working directly with developers or engineering teams and the ability to understand, discuss, and evaluate technical solutions.
Strong understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, applications, and modern technology.
Experience using AI and modern technology tools, including AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code.
Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to balance business and technical considerations while managing multiple priorities.
Comfortable working with international and cross-functional teams.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have)
Experience in payments, fintech, financial services, or payment operations, particularly exposure to payment systems, APIs, third-party integrations, or related platforms.
Experience working with international or cross-regional technology teams, including managing technology vendors and external service providers.
Familiarity with AI, automation, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, or modern development tools.
Location: Manila, Philippines (Open to LATAM candidates willing to relocate to the Philippines)
